Big Ron O’Brien (Richard Walls) was one of the few personalities in Top 40 radio who was a ‘star’ on both coasts. From his days in New York City at WNBC and WXLO, to Philly at 98.1 WCAU-FM, Boston at WRKO and many other stations up and down the coast, to Chicago’s WCFL and Los Angeles, O’Brien made his mark at whatever station he worked for.

This aircheck we’re presenting in two different formats. Both the plain audio version, which we re-mastered so that it’s very clean sounding, and in its video form from Ellis B. Feaster’s YouTube channel. The reason for this is so that we can accommodate everyone, regardless of their system and this is sort of an experiment that we’re doing going forward.

A FEW WORDS ABOUT SUPPORT

Now that the holidays are over, won’t you consider a donation to help us defray the cost of bringing the audio archives to your computer or your phone? Thank you!

Big Ron is in rare form here! A remark before every song. And after! This is a real fun aircheck!
