Jeff Bannister – “The Power of Love”, 1310 CIWW Ottawa

What’s the story with Ottawa’s 1310 AM? Well, it was a music station for much of it’s life, the last music format being Oldies. Heard here in 1987, it is a Gold-Based contemporary music station, playing mostly 70s music but pulling from the 60s and the 80s, as best we can tell. Today, the station is an All-News outlet. This aircheck begins shortly before the 9 PM hour, then goes into a Newscast (scoped), then into a love songs dedication show called “The Power of Love”. Jeff Bannister is very conversational and friendly, and takes callers with their love song requests. Aircheck #1,306 since May 2, 2002!
