Whether it was KFRC, WTIC FM or Hot 97, Bill Lee was one superb jock. He still knows how it should be done and succeeds at WKTU as he continues to this day in afternoons.
I have always dug Bill Lee. I first heard him one day while riding around in the Hartford area listening to TIC FM when they were doing the Mike Joseph Hot Hits format although they didn’t use the term Hot Hits at the time. From that day on, I was hooked on Bill Lee or Broadway Bill Lee as he is known these days.
Thanks for a fantastic aircheck.
Bill Lee is an amazing man. He is one of the first radio people that I met out of college. He was approachable, kind and willing to help others come up the ladder. He showed me the ins and outs of working in a studio. In fact, He even helped prepare me for my first real radio job. What He does is so difficult. Yet, He makes it look so effortless. This aircheck brought back some fantastic memories of being a 20 year old kid who was lucky enough to see a great personality work every day. Thanks Bill for the experience. I am forever grateful to have had the opprotunity to experience your unique greatness first hand.
The man RAMPED commercials, for cryin’ out loud! Bill Lee is GOD!
