Most of the Hot Hits airchecks I have heard did not contain any gold and few, if any, recurrents. Was the playlist truly 100% current? Or were there certain dayparts where some recurrent and gold titles were worked in?

All I have to say is “WOW!

What memories I have of Terry “The Motormouth Young” He was a trip!!!!

Did you know Terry’s personalized license plate was TAY-98 (Terrance Alexander Young) and 98 was for WCAU. I guess you knew that right? ha ha ha

I have a picture of Terry and I back when I was 15! NOW I’m 41:(:(:(:(:( I look at the picture and can’t believe where the time went. We we soooooo young.

Terry and I spoke alot over the phone. Terry took time out of his busy schedule one night to come and meet me. That was AWESOME!! Here’s a popular DJ coming to my house,meeting my friends and hanging OUT! Now, you know it was all around school the following day. I loved every minute of it!

Well, I can go on and on and on with the memories. Now, all I have to do is e-mail Terry at X-M and I’ll know he’ll REMEMBER me.

Again, thanks for the memories. It was well worth it.

Remember Terry Young well – listened to 98 all the time – they even played it on our schoolbus. Called into the station on one of their thousands of call in contests and won a cheesy set of “pop-folios” which were folders with 80’s bands on them to put your school papers in. Great flashback – the 80’s ROCK!!!!

just reading these reviews brings back many memories – i was given a 90 minute tape of Terry
Young and hot hits back in Nov 1983.
I still have the tape to this day and it still
sounds awesome!!
No radio DJ in the uk has ever come close to Terry – brilliant!!!

Terry was the greatest for teens in the early to mid 80’s! I seem to remember he got into trouble for playing the same song over and over one Friday night! I think it was a rap song called “The Eighth Wonder”. Does anyone remember that?

This is cool as heck! I think this is the Terry Young who was on AM WLEE in Richmond, VA in the mid-70s. Yeah, the 80s were okay, Terry made the 70s KICK!

Even though Terry sounds great on XM 60’s on 6, this was some of his best stuff. He & us were loving life back in the Big 80’s. I am glad I got to enjoy hearing him live on 98 as a resident of Philly.
