TOm Kent may have had his heyday back at WLS(?) but that was years ago. His style is passe'...and doesn't have that one-to-one personal delivery. He sounds very egotistical on the air...and not relatable to the audience. Sounds like he is intrigued with the sound of his own voice. Stations are running his show because it is cheaper than running live/local talent. The ratings for his daypart at WODS have been abysmal. (But it's cheap!) I agree with JJ’s earlier comment. Totally over-rated (mostly by radio people) his style always came off as a little more than bogus. His voice and tone change, sure he can cook but he can't maintain it.
