When the station increased their power and banged into Boston, the lineup station was awesome with a Top 40/AOR sound. They sounded like WMEX but on FM with Bud Ballou, Ron Robin, and others like Austin in Boston, Marc Davis (News), Charlie Kendall, and Harvey Wharfield "on the Stereo". F/FM 105 spent too much time buying their listeners...and it worked for a while. I was a huge fan of WVBF Stereo 105 pre-F-105 days.
