Like Comment #2 says, you can now listen to Dick Biondi (and all the WJMK personalities) online, or on HD radio. HD radios are still expensive, but there’s no monthly service charge as with satellite radio (don’t get me wrong; I’ve been hooked on XM myself since November and could never switch back to AM/FM!). Now to listen online, you do need high-speed Internet. Just last week, I tried listening via dial-up Internet, and the darned thing had to keep re-buffering, so much that it nearly drove me nuts.
However, since when is the move from FM to Internet a mistake??? Now, thanks to high-speed Internet, even I can listen to the legendary Biondi, from clear across the country–something that hasn’t been possible since the old days, when there were less people and less radio stations. I love it. By the way, I got hooked on Biondi by way of the CD “Cruisin’ 1960.” Okay, so I caught up with him late in my life…better late than never.

I FINALLY FOUND DICK BIONDI, HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO DICK SINCE THE EARLY 60′S,MET HIM AT THE RADIO STATION ONE SATURDAY AND HE TOOK TIME OUT TO SEE ME AND MY WIFE, AND FAMILY,GAVE HIM A “YALE” HAT AND A “CLARK” HAT FOR CLARK WEBER,HE SIGNED MY RECORD ALBUM”VAULT OF TREASURE TUNES” WHAT A GUY! I ALSO RECORDED ON TAPE NUMEROUS “FRIDAY NITE 50′S PARTY “WHEN DICK WAS DOING WHAT HE IS GOOD AT “KEEPING ROCK AND ROCK AND ROLL ALIVE” (DICK ,ROCK AND ROLL IS HERE TO STAY)

WLS changed to Top 40 on May 3, 1960. Biondi was part of the original staff until WLS’s 3rd Anniversary in May of 1963. He owned nights in Chicago in those days!
Other WLS staffers of the day included Mort Crowley, Gene Taylor & Sam Hale.

Since dropping the oldies format from the airwaves on 104.3 FM, along with losing Dick Biondi to cyberspace, the management at Infinity Broadcasting have literally taken the Magic out of 104!!!

You can still listen to Dick Biondi via the internet, WJMK has a second format oldies but you can only hear it online, he still has the same lineup as when the station was carried over the airwaves. I agree that WJMK messed up big time

I have been trying to find Dick Biondi on the air ever since WJMK screwed up and changed its format. Is he really on this station in Chicago? What is the frequency and show times? I’ve been listening to him for almost 50 years and don’t want to stop now! Thanks.
