Dan Taylor & the WNBC Time Machine, Part 1 | 1988 (46:51)

Join us now in the greatest 60s radio recreation ever aired! 1988 was the very last year for the flagship station of the National Broadcasting Company. Yet, even in the throes of death, this station knew how to do things right.

The time machine was simply the best re-creation of the 60s era MusicRadio WABC there ever was, from the authentic PAMS jingles, to the finest collection of jocks ever to voice a mic in the Big Apple! This comes in two parts. Listen now to Dan Taylor, who after WNBC went on to play Country at WYNY (97.1, later 103.5).

There has never been a greater oldies recreation than the WNBC Time Machine.

Thanks for providing these airchecks of the Time Machine. I can never get enough of that format.

I loved the station and I thought Dan Taylor was as good as another famous Dan.

The Time Machine was the closest thing I ever had to WABC Musicradio when I lived in New York. And it’s such a shame that half of the jocks are either bitter like Big Jay Sorensen or lost in Radio Limbo like Dan Taylor still is.

I miss hearing the latter than the former these days.
