First off, pardon the audio quality. It’s not the best– but at least we can say we have the aircheck.
Frankly, I wasn’t terribly impressed with the King of All Media on this aircheck. I remember Stern on WNBC around 1984-85 and he was outrageous! This day though, perhaps it was just because he was starting and getting accustomed to his new gig.
There’s lots of voices on the Howard Stern Radio Network, and lots of sarcasm. Still to come at this gig but not heard on this aircheck – God’s Weather, naked girls… etc. And, Sirius Satellite Radio in 2006.

I loved “Wehow” on WNBC
Actually I believe that Howard Stern started at WNBC in 1982,not 1981.
I remember hearing Hard To Say I`m Sorry -Chicago,the night before he(Howard) started at NBC,Howard comes home to New York,I think it was Beebee,not sure.

Howard didn’t get to WNBC until 1984.
i worked with Howard and Robin on WNBC in the mid-80s…1984, 1985 i think. i did newscasts.
