Opie & Anthony are now featured on XM Satellite Radio. For those who might not have heard about their demise at their last gig at the former Hot Talk 102.7 WNEW New York (and just who, may I ask, didn’t hear about it??)… they were terminated after a stunt in which they broadcast a couple having sex in a NYC Catholic church. Really.

These guys really got known from their days at WAAF Worcester (MA) - and their outlandish skits, such as a really bad one concerning the Boston mayor… and afternoon contests like radio Russian Roulette. I digress.

Here’s a hilarious aircheck of O&A talking about WNEW’s current Program Director, Frankie Blue being drunk and stupid on the air (well, O&A’s view of it).

    Wow, this aircheck really spread everywhere online! I was the one that originally recorded it off XM (I can tell because of exactly where the file starts and ends) and sent it to dozens of people who requested it. I’m glad everyone is enjoying it!

    I used to listen to O&A when they were on two Seattle stations a few years back. That is one funny bit. I’ve been meaning to subscribe to XM. Now I know I have to.
