Recorded shortly before WZAT’s flip to Alternative later that year, here’s Dr. Dave counting down the ‘Fast 5 at 9″… featuring plenty of production elements, callers announcing the songs, fun and prizes. This is very representative of the state of 80s CHR – Top 40’s second era that lasted from about 1982 to perhaps 1993. We love the production elements that remind us of the former CHR incarnation of WGH-FM Norfolk, only perhaps not quite as hot. Listen for an announcement for the “Battle of the Bands” toward the end of this aircheck.
