This is the first in a series of assorted airchecks that I’d like to simply call “Old Gold”. One listen and you’ll know why. This is volume 1. It features airchecks of various upper midwest stations from 1971.

Among the stations you’ll hear in Volume 1:
WDRQ, WAAM Ann Arbor, WCAR Detroit, WLYT Cleveland Heights Ohio and CKLW Windsor. There’s plenty more in this series so come back often!

  1. WAAM sure got their money’s worth out of Pams series 43!! TM was well represented in this composite as well. I think that Old Gold format was a product of Pams. Thanks for the look back!!
