Gary Shepherd was a staple on Philly R&B radio, from the 1960s, covering the Philadelphia riots after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., through 2007. He was usually on air hosting morning or afternoon drive. He held down shifts at WUSL Power 99 FM, 1310 WSSJ, & 100.3 WRNB. But he is best remembered for a couple of tours of duty at Philly’s 105.3 WDAS-FM. This aircheck features Gary doing his thing in the afternoon at Power 99 FM in 1983.
