This is not exactly a classic aircheck, but it does feature a classic jock! Ken Merson, the “Merson Person” is a legendary radio personality in Maryland. Ken has spent time on air at many of Baltimore’s best radio stations, including 68 WCBM (during the station’s Metromedia years), B104 WBSB, the original MIX 106.5, Good Time Oldies WQSR, and 101.9 WLIF. Most recently, Ken was Program Director and “60’s Satellite Survey” host on Sirius/XM’s 60’s on 6 channel. Ken left Sirius/XM and decided to return to Baltimore, and join Q1370 WQLL. In these days when Oldies have been shunned by FM stations, some am stations have decided to give the format a go. Musicradio Q1370 plays the greatest hits of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. This aircheck features Ken’s first morning at Q1370. There are a few hiccups, as you would expect on anyone’s first day, but Ken sounds as warm & friendly as usual.
