Robert W. Morgan was a legendary broadcaster, who was an early-morning fixture on Southern California drive-time radio for more than three decades. Morgan was known to a generation of Southern Californians as the original morning man on trend-setting “Boss Radio” 93KHJ, beginning in the mid-1960s. His “Good Morgan!” sign-on became a widely recognized signature greeting. A measure of Robert W.’s popularity was an unparalleled 20 share in the Arbitron ratings. Over the years, Morgan hosted morning drive shows on K100-FM, 710 KMPC-AM. Magic 106-FM, and K-Earth 101. This aircheck features Robert W Morgan’s final show on KHJ from October 22 1970. He left KHJ for 560 WIND Chicago, and returned to KHJ a year later, and stayed there until 1973 when he left for KIQQ-FM. Robert W. Morgan died on May 22, 1998.
