Voice Of America Shortwave Military Radio Government Radio VOA J. R. Russ

Its not often we get something truly unique, but one of the short clips our new contributor, J.R. Russ sent in is of the same, heard on the Voice of America. Its very short but you can hear Russ mention different European cities, time zones, and the various stations and frequencies that listeners can tune into. How cool is that?!

  1. I remember hearing this live! It was in the early 90’s. Voa Europe has been the only radio network that broadcasted in a whole continent. I was growing up listen to this station with dj’s like: J.R Ross, Carol Parker, Eric Philips, Daisy, Rob Mclain. J.R was on air saturday mornings just before Casey’s top 40, and before all the best chart shows from the U.S. Thank you for posting this!

  2. Yes, that was a great radio station. I’ve listened to it from 1987.
Do you know something about Carol Parker ?
