950 Denver KIMN

In the 1960s & 70s, Denver was a great market for Top 40 Radio. The battle for Top 40 dominance was fierce between KTLK 1280, KDEN 1340, KHOW 630, and the station that spent much of the time at the top of that mountain, 95 KIMN. Many legendary names worked on air at KIMN, including Chuck Buell, Paxton Mills, Al Brady, Randy Jay, Bobby Irwin, Gary Owens, Loren Owens, Brant Miller, Harry Smith (Who went on to CBS This Morning) & Jim Chenevey, who became a staple at CBS Radio News for decades. This aircheck features KIMN jock Randy Robins. -Ellis
