Curator’s Notes:

Perhaps the topic for the day was the big blizzard happening on this day in 1983.  Rod West refers to it constantly.  Also noteworthy.  For those who know the jingle package and the history of this station, you’ll instantly realize the (bad) editing job on these WEEI-FM jingles.  The package in it’s original form for when WEEI-FM flipped from Soft Rock to CHR was from the original JAM package and included the WEEI-FM call letters.  As CBS got closer to the call letter change to WHTT, they edited the call letters out of the then current jingle package.  The results are heard here.  In the humble opinion of your webmaster, they sound like a chop job – at least looking back to that time period.

From your webmaster’s perspective, having lived within the signal contour, this was a great station back then, and after the call letter change, 103.3 was the hottest station in Boston!
