Our Canadian Connection, Contributor Russ Horton, donated this wonderful, high-energy mid-70s recording of the evening show featuring Terry Steele. Steele did 6-9 pm and in addition to the fantastic music played this particular year, this is literally the epitome of what they call forward momentum!
The promotion during this time was “The CHUM Superstar Summer”, and featured concert tickets. This particular hour they are promoting the Bay City Rollers and Elton John.
Technical: Theres a bit of reverb heard behind the microphone. The station was highly processed and if this was a better recording there would be a real crispness to it, however, it sounds very much like the input volume on the recording device was a bit too high, as theres some distortion on the jocks voice.

Distortion or no distortion, this is an excellent example of Top 40 radio done right!
