In 1984, WLS Chicago was still cranking out the hits, on AM & FM. The winds of change would soon be blowing through WLS, but at the moment, things are still rocking. Chuck Brittain held many different shifts during his time at WLS in the 80s. Chuck was the solid, great sounding jock you could plug anywhere. For a while, he held down the coveted midnight till 5:30 shift. Chuck has said, that’s the shift that turns your whole body clock upside down but the rush that you felt just knowing that you can be heard all over the country was unbelievable. Chuck also hosted the Oldies Show live from Ed Debevic’s restaurant every Saturday night. As of November 2019, Chuck is still on the air, waking Southwest Florida every morning at Seaview 104.9 WCVU Port Charlotte. Chuck has said, “WLS was more than a radio station, it was a chapter in the lives of many generations and I remain proud to have been a part of broadcasting history.”
Since 1979, Ellis has been on the radio, mostly hosting morning radio shows across the country, from Philly to Salt Lake City, Tampa to Seattle, and for the last 25 years, has been waking Orlando & Daytona Beach.
