HitOldies and Stereo 1230 WBLQ Present: The WNBC Time Machine! The Greatest Re-Creation Ever Done – All-New Performances!

wnbc logo 1980 2The THIRD running of the WNBC Time Machine recreation was a sonic masterpiece! We took the original program from 66 WNBC New York, as envisioned by it’s creator, WNBC Program Director Dale Parsons (1985-1988) and brought it to the next level, while maintaining authenticity.

Of course, it helped a lot that Dale participated on TWO different evenings during the Time Machine weekend.

That’s the tease. But what was the WNBC Time Machine Weekend? It’s a creation of HitOlidies.net now former owner Steve West – who, ironically, owns airchexx.com! We did two other WNBC TM weekends before, the first one over the second weekend of March, 2021, the second one we did over Labor Day, 2021, and this one, March 25, 26 and 27. The numbers are in and it performed amazingly well, with listeners checking in from Europe and even the far East!

I can’t take all the credit this time. We did this in conjunction with my friend, Chris Dipaola, owner of Stereo 1230 and 103.1 FM WBLQ Westerly, RI. Chris has been a fan of both The Time Machine (as in, the ORIGINAL WNBC Time Machine) and Dale Parsons for many decades, growing up hearing the program and WNBC radio first hand as a young person. Chris even does his own version of the
Time Machine on WBLQ each weekend, and he commissioned me, Steve West & Bob Gilmore to create the nightly WBLQ Time Machine which I am very proud of!

Considering how much audio there is to get edited and converted for exhibition, I have to start somewhere. I think we will be using our “Airchexx Classic Radio” YouTube account for high quality video versions of our shows – besides, that spares me the immediate cost of audio storage on our own servers. With that said, lets get on with the show!

New shows will show up here as they are produced. Check back often!
