KOPA FM100 Phoenix – Howard Hoffman – November 2 1982

Howard Hoffman is a legendary air talent, who began his radio career in 1971, at WTBQ in Warwick NY.  He spent some time at the WPRO-FM in Providence, before making it to the big time in New York in 1977. First working at WPIX-FM, and by 1979, he was hosting evenings at WABC. I was listening to Howard almost every night at WABC, loving his energy & creativity. After WABC, Howard took his first morning gig, across the country In Phoenix, at KOPA FM 100.

This aircheck features his morning show at KOPA. After spending time hosting mornings at WQHT New York, as well as KMEL San Francisco, Howard then moved to the world of production.  He served as production director at KABC Los Angeles for decades. He eventually found his way back to New York, as Creative Services Director at 710 WOR New York. -Ellis
