The New B101-7, playing TODAY’S Hit Music!
Curator’s Notes:
By 2001, “Top 40” music had become more pop and Urban/dance oriented than it had been since, perhaps, the Disco era. Still, there’s a fair amount of Rock being played in rotation. B101-7 keeps running sweepers between all but ONE song (towards the end of this scoped aircheck) which all announce the ‘newer than new’ B101-7. Also, there is absolutely NO air talent. This is jockless and I can’t help but wonder if there was a morning or afternoon jock on duty at this CHR station.
Audio quality is good, with just a little touch of processing here in the studio to bring levels up to par. Millenials, this aircheck is one for you!
