WNBC 66 New York – Alan Colmes – Guest Cousin Bruce Morrow – January 1987
Alan Colmes had spent many years on New York radio. His radio career took off when WABC hired him for the morning drive slot. He was billed as “W. Alan B. Colmes,” & replaced Ross & Wilson. By the mid 1980’s, Alan had moved over to WNBC to replace Joey Reynolds. In this aircheck, Alan interviews radio great Bruce Morrow. Cousin Bruce talks about his days at WABC in the 60s, as well as some stories about being at WNBC in the 1970s. He even discusses Wolfman Jack, and his run ins with Donald Trump. If you are a fan of Musicradio WABC, you enjoy this aircheck.
I recorded this in Atlantic City, where I was hosting morning drive at the time. You will notice some fading at distortion at times, as I was 130 miles from NYC, and reception conditions were changing as it was around sunset. -Ellis
