Art Vuolo is a radio historian. Vuolo has been producing VIDEO airchecks of most of the great Top 40 stations in existence since around 1978. Before that, Vuolo was a JOCK!

One of the things I find interesting is finding out what radio personalities also branch out into. Art Vuolo’s career is quite interesting. He currently owns Vuolo Video, a website (blog) that celebrates the best of recorded radio and Michigan sports. Well, that’s an interesting combination. You really should visit his site. You’ll find it quite interesting!

Here’s an aircheck of a very YOUNG Art Vuolo playing around on WOIA in Michigan. Included is, an unbelievable newscast delivered by John Landecker. The voice doesn’t even resemble “Records” Landecker… but, could it be this is one in the same person? Listen for yourself and see if this is the legendary WLS night jock or not!
