Marleen Foxx, 107.3 WRQX Washington | February 24, 1979

Something quite rare, donated by Big Apple Airchecks. Here is “Rock 107” during WRQX‘s rather short Album Rock format which ended shortly after this aircheck was recorded. Marleen Foxx is heard with her rather seductive voice (in my humble opinion) giving an impassionate plea to commuters to just stay home if they don’t have snow tires. This was during a major blizzard in the DC/Baltimore area. I think Foxx, here, comes across as quite human and relatable. Something that seems to be missing in radio today.
