After almost 40 years on New York Radio, at WHTZ Z100, 95.5 WPLJ, and 101.1 WCBS-FM New York, Scott Shannon retired from morning radio. Scott Shannon started the New York phase of his career in August 1983 on Z100 WHTZ Newark. He also spent over 20 years hosting the morning show at WPLJ from 1991 until 2014. This aircheck features Shannon’s career highlight aircheck from his last in studio show, as he remembered his days in New York radio, and his career in general, as he said goodbye to his listeners, on December 15 2022.-Ellis
