WARR 1520 Warrenton NC – Tony in the Morning / Freddie”Preacherman” Hargroves – March 1988
WARR 1520 is a very unique radio station. It is an old fashion R&B small market station, in Warrenton NC, Part of the Rocky Mount market. One guy, named The Preacherman (Freddie “Preacherman” Hargroves), who was also does most of the commercials. His spots are so unique, you can’t stop listening. Just about every spot ends with “…Tell em the Preacherman sent ya!” You’ll hear several of his commercials on this aircheck, Hargroves spent decades on air at WARR as the signature voice. Also featured on this aircheck is the station’s morning show, Tony in the Morning.
