This aircheck goes back to the final few years of MusicRadio 77 WABC. We find a lively Chuck Leonard playing the hits of ’79. WABC seemed to play a lot of Disco music in 1979, but by the time of this aircheck in late summer 1979, the stations seems to be starting to play fewer dance songs, and moving back in a mainstream Top 40 direction. WABC is still a HOT station here, with all the energy fans remember, but the winds of change will soon be blowing, as the station is less than 3 years from TalkRadio 77. -Ellis
