Another, from Matt over at Big Apple Airchecks, in a series of ‘checks from Allan Beebe (WEZB, KMJC, KGBC, KNOE, WAPP, others). We’re trying to help Beebe get his collection of airchecks back by posting what we have of him here.
Allen Beebe is doing the morning show on The Fox – a good sounding, albeit typical Classic Rock station in the heart of Texas. You won’t hear much in the way of music but there IS a lot of Beebe, along with morning traffic reports, etc. Beebe is a great personality and it shows in this 7 minute glimpse of him during his time at KNFX, 99-5 The Fox.
Beebe had previously been in New York City, and a couple of stations, most notably, 66 WNBC during its more music period in the late 70s. What an incredible talent, and wherever he has been, the stations have sounded fantastic!
