Here is a rare, unscoped slice of Classic Rocker “Thunder 103.5”, back when it was still on 103.5. At its peak, the station was #1, 25-54 in 2001. 103.5 flipped to Country in 1005. In fact, a short article on Wikipedia says this of WTBT:
The station formerly went by “Thunder 103.5” as a classic rock station dating back to the mid-1990s. Ron Diaz worked as the morning drive host at that time. Towards the end of the stations days it held a Bob and Tom affiliation. 2005 was the last year of classic rock at the station, leaving Cox Radio’s WHPT as the market’s only classic rock station at that time. Clear Channel later relaunched the classic rock format as “Thunder Across The Bay”, currently operating on low power FM translators at 94.5 FM (Gulfport), 99.1 FM (Holiday), 105.9 FM (Tampa), and on WMTX-HD2.

We know nothing about the jock heard on this aircheck, but he sounds like one of the imaging voices heard on some other Classic Rock stations over the years. If anyone knows, please comment below.
