From the 1970s until the 1990s, 1490 WUSS, was an R&B formatted station in Atlantic City, NJ. Some notable names worked here like Cleo Rowe (WPLJ, WBLS New York), Steve Ross (WIFI, WFIL, WIBG,WCAU Philadelphia), and Kingsley Smith (WIFI, WSNI, WHYY Philadelphia). I actually worked at WUSS, early in my career. It had the worst equipment I had ever worked with during my 40 years on air, but I had fun being on air here. This aircheck features yours truly, in my first few weeks at the station. I was not on the air here for very long, but it was the only R&B station I worked for in my career. – Ellis

LOL! Thanks. I cringe when I hear this stuff. Hopefully, I’m a little better on radio & TV today, than I was in the early 80S.
