Comments:

The late Charlie Tuna, captured here in a very short scope of his first show on K-Earth 101 toward the end of KRTH’s Oldies format. Today’s KRTH is 80s leaning Classic Hits. Charlie seems very happy to be on the air on this great station. He’s filling in for Joshua Escandone this particular day in 2008.

Charlie Tuna passed away silently in his sleep on February 19, 2016

Many Thanks to Jay Sawyer Voiceovers!

  1. pghjoseph – My name's Joseph Pratt from Pittsburgh. The name of my blog is "Joseph Pratt's Interests And Some Other Things." In this blog, I will talk about the things that interest me the most ... and I will also talk about some exciting events that are going on in my life. I will try to blog once a day either four or five times a week. I hope you will like my blog as much as I do!
    Joseph P. says:

Charlie Tuna was (and still is) a terrific disc jockey … and he was also a terrific game show announcer.

  2. This also is when KRTH was being programmed by Jhani Kaye. Keeping the station relevant while also maintaining its heritage of classic hits, high-energy DJs, solid jingles and that awesome Top of the Hour Legal ID.
