WNBC 66 New York – Don Imus – August 9 1976

It’s legendary morning radio guy, Don Imus, on 66 WNBC!

It’s the bi-centennial year of 1976.

At this point the I-man had been on WNBC hosting mornings for about 5 years, of his 17 years there. Imus was about a year from being fired from WNBC. From 1977 to 1979, Imus was in Cleveland, but in 1979, WNBC would recall Don back to New York. In this aircheck, you’ll hear that a hurricane is headed up the coast, and New York is bracing for Hurricane Belle. -Ellis

  1. 66 Wnnn bc was great radio I listened to on the 80’s ! Where can I get 66 nbc bumper stickers..or other 66 memorbilia?

    1. Seriously, the only other way outside of Ebay that you’re going to find WNBC swag is tag sales, and you’d have to head to the Tri-State area and hit up known radio collectors. Be prepared to spend the gas money! And pay! LOL. What Ellis said.
