May 31, 2019 was a day that shook the radio world. To help get it’s massive debt to a more manageable level, Cumulus Media sold several stations to EMF, where they would install their K-Love CCM format. The stations sold included Hot AC 95.5 WPLJ New York, “Talk 106.7” WYAY Atlanta, “K-Fog” KFFG (97.7) San Jose (which simulcasts KFOG San Francisco), Hot AC “102.1 The Sound” WZAT Savannah, Classic Rock “The Rebel 105.9” WXTL Syracuse, & Hot AC “Mix 107.3” WRQX Washington. Mix 107.3, and it’s morning man, Jack Diamond, were staples on Washington radio for almost 30 years. On this aircheck you’ll hear Jack Diamond shut the station down, and the launch of K-Love on the 107.3 frequency.
