This aircheck features Philadelphia radio legend, Jerry Blavat (aka the Geator With The Heater), who spent over 60 years on radio & TV around the Delaware Valley. He spent time playing Rock & Roll his way on WFIL, WIBG, WCAU-FM, WPGR, WSNI, and a ton of radio stations across South Jersey. In the 60s, Jerry had a special way of connecting with teens on the radio & in the clubs.
In 2021, an envelope was discovered with unopened dedications, sent to Jerry, back in 1962! Jerry decided to open the dedications & requests, on the air, along with WXPN host, Ben Vaugh. Jerry talks about what it was like in the early days at the start of his radio career, as he plays these requests from 1962. -Ellis
