Jerry Williams has been called “The Dean Of Talk Radio.” He spent most of his career doing talk radio at legendary stations, such as WWDB Philadelphia, WBBM Chicago, & in Boston, where he spent the lion’s share of his career, at WMEX, WBZ & WRKO.
After a 7 year successful run hosting his talk show on WBZ, Jerry announces this would be his final show on the station. He wound up going on air at 1080 WTIC Hartford for a while. He does not sound very happy about leaving WBZ & Boston on this aircheck, as his family will still be living there.
Also on this aircheck, you will hear Ken “Muck” Meyer. Ken is one of Boston’s most respected broadcasters and the first sightless radio personality in Boston history! He spent many years producing The Larry Glick Show, and then wound up producing for Jerry Williams, Calling All Sports with Bob Lobel and Upton Bell, & David Finnegan’s talk show. Eventually, Ken got his own weekend show on WBZ in the late 70s. -Ellis
