Back in January 1989, I tuned to Solid Gold 102, WIOQ, to listen to some Oldies on my drive to my radio station in Atlantic City. Instead of hearing The Beatles or Stones, WIOQ was playing current hits! I quickly threw a cassette in my boombox and started recording.
On this recording, you hear veteran programmer MarkDriscoll on the air, as well as hearing his voice on all the liners & promos. It was all Driscoll, all the time! You’ll notice the audio processing sounds like it’s still a work in progress. This was the start of something big. over 30 years later, and Q102 is still cranking!
