For 80 years, there was a Gambling hosting mornings on 710 WOR New York. Rambling With Gambling was a longtime morning tradition on the radio. Starting in 1925, John B Gambling did wakeup duty. in 1959, his son, John A Gambling took over the show, and in 1991, his son, John R Gambling inherited the show. This rare recording features the grandfather, John B Gambling, hosting his morning show, with music, info, birthdays, and lots of exercising. He also had a live band to provide music. John Wingate with News, and… Cuckoo, the bird! The birds were REAL! Hertz Mountain Bird Seed company was one of the sponsors. Live music was part of the show until they went to recorded music in 1950. A unique listen from 1947. -Ellis
