After his success with his Hot Hits format at WCAU-FM Philadelphia, WBBM hired Mike Joseph to bring the Hot Hits format to Chicago in 1982. By 1983, WBBM-FM was already moving away from the Hot Hits moniker, but a lot of the Hot Hits formations were still on the station, as you can hear on the composite aircheck. On this aircheck you’ll hear morning man Tomm Rivers, as well as Dave Robbins, Gary Spears, Jeff Hooker, Joe Dawson, Tony Taylor, and weekenders Frank Forster & Mark Windsor. -Ellis
