Long gone are the days of the long 15 minute news block. There was a time when the long newscast was fairly common on many stations. The newscast would contain content from a radio network, as well as the local radio station. This aircheck from 1967 is an example of that.

It’s The CBS Morning Report with Allan Jackson, with Neil Strawser, with a report from CBS Newsman Roger Mudd. It’s followed by WBBM local news for Chicago. It’s also an interesting glimpse of what was going on in the country in July 1967. -Ellis
