  1. During the late 1970’s, the RKO stations were the cream of the crop. Stations like WRKO, KHJ and WHBQ had highly talented
air staffs, hot production and some of
the best jingles ever produced. This is
a great aircheck, and I am awed, as usual by the talent of Charlie Van Dyke. What an AMAZING gift this man has.

  2. I listened to Charlie every chance I got while serving in the Air Force. He was at KLIF, Dallas at the time, and I couldn’t believe someone could be as fresh, funny and unpredictable at such a young age. I grew up on Dan Ingram, and Charlie helped make my time away from 77 WABC afternoon drive not only bearable, but flat out entertaining!

  3. Charlie was the voice of WNCI / Columbus Oh mid 80’s-90’s and still to this day his on-air work never ceases to amaze. The voice, quick wit, talent- all so sorely missed throughout radioland. In case you see this- Charlie, I miss producing you in Columbus. Hope you are well, and thanks for all you’ve done for the industry.
