Since I have started posting airchecks, I have always been asked to post some of my airchecks. I have always been a bit embarrassed by my airwork, but, today I will post one. Before my days in CHR, CCM, and Country, I did soft AC in Atlantic City at Lucky 99, which is featured on this aircheck. This is an example of early 80’s soft AC. The station was programmed by Dave Klahr, who just a few years earlier, had programed WYNY in New York for NBC, and launched Magic 103 WMGK in Philadelphia. This was my first time working at a soft AC, so if I sound a bit stiff, that’s why. I was using the name Bruce Ellis at the time.
