September 16, 1982, was the day 104.5 KFOG dropped the station elevator music, and started playing Rock & Roll. It was a mix of Album Rock, & Classic Rock, targeting adults. Many adult rockers loved this station over the years. From Dave Morey’s 10@10, to M Dung’s Idiot Show, to the live converts & music special, KFOG was a San Francisco institution. KFOG’s owner, Cumulus Media, decided to pull the plug on KFOG, so it could move AM sports station KNBR, to 104.5 FM. September 2 2019 was a sad day for SFO, as KFOG played it’s final songs. This aircheck is the final 20 minutes of KFOG, before going dark.

    1. Hi Tony! We would love to post your air checks! We don’t have a lot of UK audio, so we are always happy to post some. if it’s digital, I can get you my email & you can send it through WeTransfer.com, and if it’s on tape, I can digitize it at my radio station, and also get you a digital copy. Let me know what works for you. Thanks again. Always happy to get new audio.
