WPEN 95PEN Philadelphia – Geoff Fox – 1977

In the mid-1970s, Philadelphia’s WPEN, was an oldies station, that evolved into an Adult Contemporary station over the next few years. The station performed so-so in the ratings. By 1979, the station flipped to a nostalgia format, and found some success. This aircheck feature Geoff Fox, with his daily feature, Worst Joke Of The Day. I would listen to this feature every morning before leaving for school, and then re-tell the jokes with my friends! -Ellis
