Often, airchecks arrive here with a slightly incorrect date. The only reason (outside of the music) that this was noticed was Scott Woodside’s comment about the Red Sox making a huge mistake the previous night. As it turns out, the previous night was Game 6 of the 1986 World Series between the New York Mets and the Boston Red Sox. The game where Bill Buckner (much unfairly maligned ever since) let the winning run pass through his legs.
Otherwise known as the New York Mets in better times. (grin)
While I wrote about this, it’s only a passing mention in this aircheck! The vast majority of this scoped recording illustrates that political comedy has been around for a long time. It’s just less subtle than the old days! Also, listen for the “Birthday Bonus of the Day“. David Paige has news, Celeste Clark does traffic. This is Q107 in its prime!
