Thanks for putting this up. At the time this was recorded, Power 99 was slowly migrating back toward Mainstream CHR after a brief period where they were leaning heavily toward Dance, but nevertheless it was still one of the hottest CHR’s in the country at that time, hands down. Hopefully you’ll have a chance to put up the rest of this composite where we can hear what the rest of the day sounded like sometime in the near future. *hint hint* :>)

They were a tight station. That was a sad day when they switched to the alternative (to) music format. I was happy when they finally put 99x out of it’s misery and switched back to CHR. Unfortunately “Q100” is barely a fraction of what “Power 99” was. But I guess that’s true of all radio. And those in charge continue to scratch their heads at why people no longer listen to or care about radio… :-/
