Back in summer 1990, I made a trip to Monreal, Canada. While I was there, with my trusty tape recorder, I recorded a few radio stations. This is one of the tapes I recorded. The lion’s share of this tape features Montreal rocker 97.7 CHOM-FM. I also recorded a bit of Adult Contemporary formatted 92.5 CFQR. At the very end of the tape is a few moments of French language 96.9 CKOI-FM. It’s just a small slice of what radio sounded like in Montreal in 1990. -Ellis
