In the 1960s & 70s, 95 WBBF AM was the dominant Top 40 station in Rochester, NY. Flash foward to April 1998. Oldies 98.9 decided that since it was playing the songs that WBBF played 30 years earlier, why not move the WBBF calls from 950 AM, to 98.9 FM. Oldies 98.9 WKLX, became 99BBF. I did the morning show there, along with Bobby Hatfield. I had a blast here, playing the oldies, and the Jam “Do It Again” jingle package that WCBS-FM used. Today I am doing mornings at WPOZ-FM in Orlando, and Bobby (who uses his real name, Joe Reilly these day) hosts mornings at WHLM in Bloomsburg, PA, where he owns the station.
