The late Leo Knott contributed this aircheck of himself on KJLH Los Angeles back in 2007.
Description by Contributor…
This aircheck features myself at Stevie Wonder’s KJLH (Kindness, Joy, Love and Happiness)… My longest stint as a jock.
Had nice success with KJLH’s Sunday Oldies Show — (#1 Arbitron. Took my oldies act to KACE, LA — #8 Arbitron).
Tape ends with a little bit of KGFJ… I went to their Oldies format in 1990.
Leo Knott passed on 12/22/10. We are grateful for his noteworthy contributions to radio and this website.
You can read the announcement of his death here.
I remember the oldies show on KJLH, it was the favorite of the folks working in computer operations at Northrup 1988. What’s he doing now?
Sadly, Leo passed away December 16th, 2010
I don’t know why after years, I decided to google my friend Leo Knott. After moving away from Cali to AR. After searching I was profoundly saddened. Leo was my friend and will always be my bud, even if we were not close or living in the State. Leo and I became freinds at Northrop. He not only had a talent for radio, but had typing skills that anyone would admire. In addition to a great personality and a very sweet sprit.
Leo, I love you and will miss you my “special bud.”
Was searching web for some of my dad radio recordings and came upon this page. Glad to see those who cared comment. Miss him deeply.
